Merry making.
This week I made Valentine's Day envelopes & oven-baked parmesan fries + spicy dip. (Heart earrings from Forever21.)

This morning I got a free iced mocha at the coffee shop I frequent. The baristas, who have gotten to know me over the past month, start making my order - an iced mocha - when I walk in. Today they made an iced mocha for a man who wanted just a mocha, so when I walked in they said they had a free iced mocha that needed a home. Of course, I was willing to give the iced mocha what it needed. The woman behind me said she is going to follow me & my luck around today and that we are going to go get lottery tickets. Not a bad idea.

parmesan fries?? recipe??? ;)
ReplyDeleteSure! I used this simple recipe: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/oven-baked-garlic-and-parmesan-fries/
DeleteThe potatoes we picked up at the store were a little wonky - the layer between the potato skin and the potato was green - so I peeled the potatoes quite a bit. Next time I will leave the skin on for an extra crunch + add some cayenne pepper!
The dipping sauce was really simple: equal parts ketchup and mayo, with a dollop of BBQ sauce and 12-15 drops of Chef Paul Prudhomme's Magic Pepper Sauce.
oh my goodness. i'm making those TONIGHT.
ReplyDeleteThose fries look delicious! And so lucky- I miss our coffee shop dates. #can'twaittilweliveinthesamecityagain
ReplyDeleteSame! Coffee shop dates coming to CHOCS in June 2012.
